2025 January

The Beginning

The G-elimishe journey began with a bold question: How can we make quality education accessible to every Kenyan student using the tools they already have? Our team conducted market research, teacher interviews, and student surveys to understand the real challenges in Kenya’s education system — from overcrowded classrooms to limited digital access..

Early 2025 March

First Pilot Program

After analyzing our findings, we defined a clear mission: to empower teachers through AI-driven lesson creation and automate grading via WhatsApp. We developed our initial concept model, tested small-scale content workflows, and validated the technical feasibility of integrating AI with WhatsApp’s API..

Mid 2025 June

AI Integration

G-elimishe was officially founded with a vision to bridge the education accessibility gap using artificial intelligence and simple, familiar communication platforms. We began detailed planning for our MVP structure, focusing on lesson generation, automated marking, and WhatsApp-based delivery.

Late 2025 October

Expansion

Our product team built the first functional prototype — integrating AI lesson generation, auto-marking, and teacher dashboards. Early internal tests demonstrated time savings of over 8 hours per teacher per week and significant improvement in content personalization.

2025 November

Today & Beyond

We enhanced our AI models for improved handwriting recognition and auto-grading accuracy, reaching over 92% precision in controlled tests. Feedback from educators helped refine our algorithms and curriculum alignment features.
